Fall Favorites!

Hi yall!

Sorry for the long break! Today is the first day it has felt like fall here so I decided to do the fall favorites post that Love For Lacquer tagged me in!

Without further ado...

Favorite Fall Lip Product?

Okay, I am lip product junkie and I am currently loving ALL things Revlon. My favorite statement lip is a mix between the Just Bitten Kissable Lip Stains in Smitten and Romantic. For an everyday, 'my lips but better' look, I love Revlon Lip Butter in Pink Truffle. 

I really like the staying power of the Kissable Lip Stains - while they do fade some, I am left with some color on in the morning if I don't wash them off before bed (great staying power!). They are also very moisturizing compared to other lip colors I have used. The only thing that throws me off is the scent - it is slightly pepperminty but to me it kind of smells like mint mixed with a crushed love bug. (If you don't know what a love bug is, consider yourself lucky!) It isn't off-putting and doesn't taste bad, it is just a slight scent when I first apply the stain.

I own 6 of the Lip Butters and I love them. Pink Truffle is a great everyday shade and adds enough color to make me look polished in the professional world. It doesn't really have a scent and is very moisturizing and shiny. My only complaint is that the twist on the bottom doesn't retract the balm so I have to be careful not to extend the balm up too much because I can't get it to twist down. (This is the only 1 of my 6 that this has happened to so I am not too concerned that it is a huge flaw with the design - just a quality control problem)

Favorite Fall Starbucks Drink?

Because I am a student and on a budget, unless I have SBux giftcards, I tend to stay away because A) I am tempted to get the blended, high calorie drinks and B) it's expensive BUT I still love me some Chai tea so I have been making my own!

MK's Chai Tea Lattes!

 Ingredients:

2 Tazo Chai tea bags

milk

2 splenda

water/ice

1. Start by boiling a cup of water

2. Add 2 Tazo Chai tea bags to the water and let steep

3. Pour tea into larger cup

4. Add milk (for me, about 1/4-1/2 a cup) and 2 splenda

5. Let cool (I make it at night and refrigerate overnight)

6. Add ice and enjoy! 

Favorite Fall Candle?

Slatkin & Co Fresh Balsam. Never to early to start thinking about Christmas right? Bath and Body works discontinued my 2 favorite scents so this one will have to do for this year!

I ordered new boots but they aren't here yet so I will share some adorable new earrings I got at Forever 21 - only $3.80!

Haunted House, Haunted Hay Ride or Haunted Corn Maze?

I hate all things scary so I am going to go with a PLAIN Corn Maze! I have never done one but I think it would be a great way to spend a pretty fall day with your friends!

Favorite Halloween Movie?

Does Harry Potter count? Like I said, I don't do scary.

Favorite Candy To Eat On Halloween?

I love candy corn! And Twix!

What Are You Dressing Up As On Halloween?

I am not a huge costume fan but I did wear leopard pants and cat ears to a get together last night! That'll probably be the extent of any costuming for me this year.

What Is Your Favorite Thing About Fall?

The weather! Sweaters, hot tea, fall evenings, bonfires, s'mores, pumpkin everything, leggings, long sleeve shirts and did I mention the weather?

Sunny's Miracle Balm - 365 Days of Color!

Hi yall!

I'm back! Sorry for the long delay.

Today I have my thoughts on Sunny's Miracle Balm - I chose the sampler set because I couldn't choose just one scent! (She has over 60 scents to choose from!)

Before I even got to the balms, I noticed her cute packaging - she uses colored bubble mailers! So cute. The balms themselves are in small, round plastic containers with labels on them identifying the scents.

I ordered Woodland Themes, Cucumber Melon and Honey Orange - they all smell delightful! Woodland Themes smells like pine and Christmas, Cucumber Melon smells just like products from a certain body products store (YUM!) and Honey Orange smells slightly sweet with a tinge of citrus. I love them all!

I would highly recommend these balms to anyone - with so many scents to choose from and extremely reasonable prices, these balms are for everyone!

I would also like to note that her customer service is top notch - my first set of balms melting in transport and she offered me a refund or replacement, no questions asked! I took the replacement and she has since changed her containers to these white ones so there is no risk of melting/leaking during shipping.

Sally Hansen Insta Dry Freeze!

HI yall!

And hellooooo to August! That one snuck up on me!
